What our figures mean

Costs quoted for local services are indicative ranges intended to help you judge whether a quote is reasonable. They are not quotes, not offers, and not a guarantee that any business will charge them. They vary by supplier and change over time.

Information about the Universal project comes from the project’s own communications and public reporting current at the time of writing. Timelines and job figures on projects of this size change.

The guides are not advice

Our guides are general local information, not legal, medical, financial or professional advice. Check the primary sources we link, or take professional advice, before making a decision that matters.

Listings

Directory listings are supplied by the businesses themselves. Paid and featured placement is labelled as such. We do not verify the quality, safety, pricing, insurance or qualifications of any listed business, and a listing is not a recommendation or endorsement.

We are not a party to any transaction between you and a listed business. Satisfying yourself about who you are dealing with is your responsibility. We may decline or remove any listing at our discretion, including where we believe it is inaccurate, unlawful or misleading.

Paid listings are not yet available. Before any paid listing goes live, we will publish separate terms for it, covering the price, how it is billed, and how to cancel.

Liability

We take reasonable care to keep this site accurate but do not warrant that it is complete, current or error free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on it.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For a material change, we will tell you before it takes effect: by a clear notice on this site and, where we hold a business’s contact details for a listing, by email. Continuing to use the site after a change is not, on its own, agreement to a material change. The date at the top shows when these terms last changed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
